APRIL UPDATE: Introducing the Random Dungeon!


It’s time for another update!

This time, though, there’s a little bit extra thrown in for fun.

Introducing Scarmonde’s “RANDOM DUNGEON”!




What IS the “Random Dungeon”?

You, the player, can assemble your party however you see fit, then equip them with some basic gear in ScarmondeHOWEVER! Now you’ll notice that there’s a new addition to the cozy l’il town: a door just east of the Inn!




TO ACCESS THIS NEW DUNGEON: you CANNOT have set foot within The Depths. That means you CANNOT descend the stairs in the center of Scarmonde. If you do so, you’ll be locked out of entering the Random DungeonYou must start a new file to access this additional area!

Everything within the Random Dungeon is… randomized! Players will traverse between five pre-made but randomly selected floors in each “zone/area” before facing a boss and moving onto the next.




The exit for each floor is a blue orb, and its location can change just like everything else! To proceed you’ll need to locate that orb and interact with it. You’ll ONLY BE ABLE TO SAVE after changing floors.




The contents of the chests are (you guessed it) also randomized! Chests all look the same, but depending on how lucky (…or unlucky) you are, can grant you: Magic Orbs, Items, Armour, or Weapons.

Many of you will also be VERY pleased to know that any and all debuffs or ailments you inflict onto enemies will be now visible in battle! So instead of showing an animation (which still plays over character battlers), an icon will be displayed over an enemy’s head indicating what they’re afflicted with (and will cycle between all afflictions).
